It’s the last weekend of the Artists Open Houses as part of the Brighton Festival. We’ve not managed to get round nearly half of all those we wanted as May has been a very busy month so far (and a big family wedding tomorrow!). But I wanted to share our visit last weekend to The Cake House…one of my favourite Open Houses.
Some great Brighton artists (including Cat-a-Cake Creations) showcase their crafts in artist Clair Letton’s gorgeous home aka ‘The Cake House’…plus Clair is a cup-cake making genius. So after you’ve perused Clair and her team’s beautiful and whimsical creations (paintings, prints, clothes, accessories, jewellery etc), you can sample her soup or cupcakes over a cuppa in the charming back garden (Little G was most taken by the playhouse in the corner, made by Clair’s husband).
Where: You can find The Cake House as part of the Fiveways art trail, 37 Cleveland Road, Brighton (opposite Blakers Park). Last open weekend this weekend 11am-5pm. Find out more about the artists appearing at the Cake House by checking out the blog. If you can find time to visit this weekend, I really recommend it.
